1952 - 2024

GALLAGHER, Michael Edward, 71, of Midlothian, VA went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2024, surrounded by his devoted wife and his beloved children. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Helen (Melucci) and Michael Gallagher; his in-laws, Marilyn and Robert Happy; his sister-in-law, Lynn Wenstrom Happy and his Aunt Lee Gallagher. He is survived by his wife, Margaret and his children, Caitlin Landrum (Zachary), Michael (Kathryn), and Elizabeth Gallagher-Perkins (Zachary). He adored and doted on his beautiful grandbabies, Logan and Madelyn Landrum. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his sister, Carolyn of Burlington, MA; his brothers-in-law, Robert, of Averill Park, NY, Raymond (Carolyn) of New York City and Connecticut, Frederic (Katherine) of Clayton, CA; sister in law, Elizabeth Silkes; uncles, James (Katherine) of San Ramon, CA and Vincent of Waynesboro, PA; nephews, William and Robert and nieces, Meredith, Eleanor, Sarah and Katherine. Mike graduated from Northeastern University in 1975 and immediately began his long career in sales. When he retired in 2012, he was the Executive Director of National Accounts for Watson Pharmaceuticals. He loved speaking with clients and enjoyed a special camaraderie with a lot of them. Mike was an extraordinary man and the word most often used to describe him is 'kind'. He was a fountain of decency, integrity, and love and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mike's life will be celebrated at the Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Parkway, Chesterfield, Virginia, on March 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. that morning. Following the service, the family invites attendees to celebrate Mike's positive impact on this world by joining them at the Grille at Magnolia Green, 7001 Awesome Drive, Moseley, Virginia, 23120.
