Michael Pascucci Obituary

PASCUCCI Michael Robert Pascucci, 40, of Midlothian, after the bravest of battles with lung cancer, died on May 10, 2007. Michael is survived by his wife Amy, whose strength throughout inspired Mike and all their friends and family. Michael is also survived by parents, Bob and Gail Pascucci of Georgia; and his beloved sister, Robin; and brother-in-law, Steve Skipper of Texas. Although "Scucci" is gone from this world, his exuberant light and spirit lives on in those he loved and those who loved him. Whether it was playing football at UVA, hanging out with his Phi Gam brothers, going to bluegrass festivals, or playing with his dogs, he did it with great joy. He made many close friends through his work at Mid-Atlantic Fasteners and Sysco. Everyone who met him has a classic "Scucci" story; he touched so many lives. Services will be held Monday, May 14 at 1 p.m. at Westover Hills United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, Amy has requested donations to the Michael Pascucci Lung Cancer Foundation, focusing on lung cancer research, Michael Pascucci Lung Cancer Foundation, c/o of Kurt Woerrpel, 725 Lyons Avenue, Charlottesville, Va. 22902. Arrangements by the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home.

Amy, although we did not really get the chance to get to know Mike that well as we only met him a couple of times but we knew from the moment you came to our cookout with that ring on your finger that it was meant to be--you were beaming! We were so happy for you guys but now so sorry it was short although sweet and true. You are an amazing, strong woman and many of us could only hope to be half that! I know Mike was so loved and that speaks volumes of you as well. He chose a fine woman and you chose a fine man. Hang in there strong lady.
Much love,
The Barkers

"Mr. Mike" was always a joy to talk to, the neighborhood children will miss him dearly, he was always there with great advice for the kids and his dogs were great entertainment for my daughter. He will never be forgotten!
