Michael Christian Schiavo

September 11, 1996 - September 17, 2025

Michael Christian Schiavo, 29, of Glen Allen, Va., passed away on September 17, 2025. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Vincent Schiavo, Joseph Saxton, and Theresa Saxton. He is survived by his parents, Chris and Susan Schiavo; sister, Lauren Mason; brother-in-law, Craig Mason; nephew, Silas Mason; niece, Lydia Mason; and grandmother, Katherine Schiavo. Michael graduated from Deep Run High School and Regent University with a degree in Biblical Studies and Theology. Michael had a passion for life long learning, reading and writing. His greatest joys were good food and spending time with family and friends. To be loved by Michael was a blessing and his impact will endure forever.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Bliley's Funeral Home at 3801 Augusta Ave Richmond, VA 23230. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23 at Christ Church Episcopal 5000 Pouncey Tract Rd Glen Allen, VA 23059.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Michael should be made to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. Donations can be made online at parentprojectmd.org or checks payable to PPMD can be mailed to 1012 14th NW Suite 500 Washington, DC 20005.
