Dear Betsy,
I am so sorry and shocked that Michael passed away. I read about him in the paper.
Do you remember when I lived a few doors down from you all on Chuckatuck Avenue, and Michael and I played together when we were 4 and 5 years old? I had the best time making Mud Pies with him. Then you moved across the street from my aunt and uncle, the Hawkins, I believe it was on Ferndale Avenue. I would still come to visit with you all, and we were around 10 years old at that time. Even though we hadn't seen each other in many years, I miss my old friend now. I would have been at his funeral, but I had promised to attend a graduation.
Please know that another person loves you and I'm praying for comfort and strength for you and your family.
