Morris Lowery Obituary

Morris Edward "Ed" - "Eddie" Lowery Jr., 76, passed on at his home on July 1. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anne Long Lowery, who he has cared for lovingly since 1991; his four sons, twins, Ronnie and Donnie Lowery, Michael Lowery, and Wayne Lowery and his wife, Pat; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl Lowery; a sister, Sharon Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson HS, Ed served in the US Navy. He retired after 35 years with C&P Telephone Co. and played and coached for many years in the Sertoma Hardball Baseball League. His remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home at 8510 Staples Mill Road, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening. Funeral services will be at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 503 N. Lombardy Street, on Thursday, July 3rd, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ, 503 N. Lombardy Street, Richmond, Va. 23220 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis Tenn. 38101.

Bob and I are very sorry for your loss. My father Speck Fox has told me so many stories about Eddie. He felt like they were brothers. Please find comfort in knowing that we are thinking of you and praying for you in this time of sadness.
