Nancy Arrowood Obituary

ARROWOOD, Nancy T., age 78, of Boydton, passed away December 23, 2020. She was born December 24, 1941, to Kern Thomas and Cissie Jones Thomas. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Joan Willis, Mildred Vaughan, Betty Jane Thomas; and a son, Gary D. Crumpton. Nancy was a graduate of Thomas Dale High School, and worked in the school system in Chesterfield County as a librarian. She was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 79 and Thursday Senior Bowling League. Nancy had a love of children, growing and caring for flowers, painting owls, flowers and Santa Claus. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Jimmy N. Arrowood; her sons, Scott Crumpton and Jeff Arrowood; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, at Mecklenburg Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Boydton Baptist Church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
