Nancy Guthrie Summers

Nancy Guthrie Summers, of Lexington, Virginia, died on December 13, 2025. A native of Virginia, she graduated from The College of William and Mary, and received her MA from the University of Illinois and her JD from the University of Virginia. She practiced public interest law and worked tirelessly on behalf of citizen groups to improve air and water quality. She was an active member of the Conservation Council of Virginia (CCVA), serving on its board for a number of years and then as its president; she also served on the State Air Advisory Board. A Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Lexington, Virginia will be announced at a later date.
