I'm very sorry that this happened. I grew up with Oscar in Elementary school. He was such a great person. Always smiling! I will be thinking of him a lot and keeping his family in my prayers.

I only knew of Oscar from my daughter and as she described a bright,funny young man with so much to offer I thought of how short life is and how great the blessings we have among us. My heart goes out to you and your family.Your loss has deeply affected many as your smile and love will be missed.

My best friend used to be Oscar's busdriver, she was heartbroken when she learned he has passed away. He served as a role model for her kids, who were often on the bus, as well as other young people. I don't know you but felt the need to pass on my condolences to Oscar's family as he blessed the life of someone I love & hold very dear to my heart. God be with Oscar's family and surround them with Your peace and love! This is my prayer to you all.

I only met Oscar once or twice through my sister. He was always there for her or anyone who needed him. He is greatly missed and will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with the Martinez family.

Dearest Family & Friends of Oscar:
My prayers, sympathies and deepest condolences for the loss of a good young man. I used to work in the drum shop of a large Richmond music store that Oscar often frequented. Oscar was truly a delight to see as he was always polite and kind and very excited to see the latest drum gear. Oscar was in the store during a brief visit by Grand Funk drummer Don Brewer, as he autographed a drum head saying "Shine On", a big hit song from the band. This song will now always be dedicated in my memory to a sweet, polite and always well mannered young drummer who will always "Shine On".
We will miss you Oscar.

Oscar man i still cant believe your not here.. Eventhough i only knew you for a small period of time you touched my life deeply. It was a blessing to have known you. Just wanted to say I'm thinking about you and the Martinez family at this time. I'll never forget the times and countless laughs you had our senior dominated study hall enjoy while you were a Freshman. You truly were one of the funnier and well intentioned people I ever had a chance to meet. I'll always remember the talks and laughs we shared.

I'm gonna miss you Oscar. Thank you for helping me out when my dad died last month and checking up on me at work every other day. You were and still are a very good friend and you will always be in heart. Your parents raised an angel.
