GOODMAN, Patricia M., 74, of Mechanicsville, Va., departed this life Sunday, April 11, 2021. Pat was born March 29, 1947 in Great Yeldham, England and moved to Lindenhurst, N.Y. in 1981, with her husband, Brian and her son, Shaun. In 1991, they relocated to Mechanicsville, Va. and have made it their home for over 30 years. Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Brian Goodman; her son, Shaun Goodman and his wife, Kimberly; her grandson, Ian Goodman; and several family members throughout England and New York. Pat spent many years working in a local hair salon in the West End and loved being a part of that salon family where she met so many wonderful people. She will be remembered as a passionate woman, who enjoyed life and loved her family and her time spent with them. She loved gardening and she and Brian would spend hours tending and enjoying their true English gardens throughout their backyard. She loved baking with her beloved grandson. He was always excited to learn what new treat they would be making when he visited. Pat loved birds and would sit outside with a cup of tea and watch them visit the feeders in the yard for hours. She was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed. Her family will always treasure the wonderful memories they have made over the years. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111.
