Patricia Markow Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Bagley Markow. She left this world on January 10, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on December 30, 1944, she was the embodiment of music in both her life and her work. From her early childhood to her later years as a mother and cantor, she shared her love, generosity, and positivity through her voice and kind spirit. Her remarkable gift as a singer began as a member of Rosemont College’s singing group The T Tones, and blossomed into a life-long devotion as a cantor and music assistant at St. Bridget Church, where her beautiful voice celebrated and comforted countless families. That joy extended into her home where she warmed the spirits of her family and friends with her cooking and baking. Trish's greatest pride and joy was her family. She had unwavering love and devotion to her parents Anthony and Rose Bagley and sister Maureen. She met the love of her life Alexander "Al" Markow as a Sophomore in high school, and they remained married for 48 years before his passing in 2015. Together they brought five children into the world--Melissa, Jennifer, Christian, Anthony, and Andrew, who expanded the family with their spouses to eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Trish’s life was defined by her commitment to helping others. She was a source of strength and inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. We know that she is singing joyfully in Heaven, finally reunited with her true love Al. Friends and family will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, January 16 at Bliley's- Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. Richmond VA, 23230 where family remarks will start at 5:30 p.m., and the Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Bridget's Catholic Church, on Friday January 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Commonwealth Catholic Charities.
