Patrick "Pat" Cornelious Poh

February 25, 1941 - July 21, 2024

Patrick "Pat" C. Poh of Chesterfield, Virginia. Pat and Nora were reunited in heaven on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Pat was a man of many parts. He was a terrific father to P. Michael "Hobo" Poh and Deanna Poh-Morton (Timothy), and Pop to Karson Mishico (Jake), Katherine Morton (Michael), Zachary Dean and Jacob Poh. Growing up in Richmond, Virginia, he is well remembered for his childhood tales of snagging hot chips from the factory cooling racks on his way home from school and catching a ride by grabbing the back of streetcars when it snowed. He attended Manchester High School, where he met Nora, the love of his life, and developed a great love for baseball. He played Post ball for American Legion Post 1, the Giants minor league affiliate the Salem Rebels, and later served as an umpire. Being a left-handed pitcher, he always enjoyed watching "lefties" play. Pat was an avid fisherman and hunter, a joy he shared with others as proprietor of Pat's Sporting Goods on Jefferson Davis Hwy for over 40 years. He loved the beach, where you could always find him wearing a colorful neon t-shirt in a laid back chair at the waters edge. He was a good friend to too many to mention, a longtime resident of Chesterfield County, and will be deeply missed. His children invite family and friends to a memorial visitation to be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024, at American Legion Post 354 (4800 Welby Turn, Midlothian, Virginia 23113).
