Patsy Hughes Obituary

Patsy Thomas Hughes

Patsy Thomas Hughes 84, of Chesterfield, Va., went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Carlton Hughes; her three sons, Troy, George "Jr.", Todd Conner; and her parents, Robert and Margaret Thomas. She is survived by her three daughters, Carla Hughes-Seeley, Cheryl Conner Jefferson, and Falon Maguire; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other loving family; and friends. She retired from Philip Morris where she was a machine operator and the first woman fixer. She was a volunteer for Call 12 On Your Side for many years. She got her CDL at the age of 68 and drove a school bus for Amelia Academy until she was in her late 70's. She loved animals, especially dogs and cats; she rescued many over the years and she was an avid gardner. She loved driving her late husband's 1968 Ford Pick-up truck "Ol'Blue".

Patsy was one of the sweetest , wittiest and kindest people I had the opportunity to know when working at 12. She brought a smile and sunshine wherever she went. I am sure she will be missed by many. Sending loving thoughts and prayers to family and friends.
