Paul was one of the nicest, kindest people I have ever met. From the first moment we stepped on the property until the day he went in to the hospital for the last time, he would greet you with a laugh and a smile and a tale about his life. We shared a common love of soccer and he would tell me about how he played in college and how his father wept because they played the same position, or about how he took his boys to see Maradona in Boston when the World Cup was in the U.S. He was super proud of his boys and his grandkids, and he would light up whenever they were around. The only thing he loved more than them was Wanda, and he would tell me the tales of how they met in Cleveland, or how they came to Richmond to make their lives (mostly to get away from the brutal Cleveland winters). He was a good man, and I will miss him terribly. I am glad his labors are over, and his trials are done.

We so enjoyed listening to Paul's stories about living in Ohio. I loved sitting next to him in church, while the choir would be practicing before the service began. He would always smile and preceed to tell me the story of when he was a young boy trying out for the youth choir. And how the priest pulled him aside and told him he would make a great alter server. After telling the story, he would laugh quietly and then look at Wanda in the choir and say how beautiful her voice was. He truly loved with all his heart.

He was one of the nicest people I´ve ever met and I loved listening to his stories of his dad and his memories of growing up. He and Wanda were so wonderful to me when we lost my horse Tank and I will never forget their kindness and compassion in the middle of the night. I know he will be missed by many.

Paul was a good man and so supportive of the farm and horses. I'm glad Mike and I got to visit with him the last couple of years. I am so sorry for your family's loss.
