Pearl V. Root

Pearl V. Root, 95, of Varina, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 12, 2004. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Meador and her husband, James, and Virginia Smith of California; eight grandchildren, Judy Davis and her husband, Terry, Jackie Walton, Jenniffer Johnson and her husband, Richard, Jimmy Meador and his wife, Jill, and Jeff Meador and his wife, Karen, also Stephen Smith, Glenn Smith, and Davis Smith and his wife, Cathy; 15 great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren, other devoted family and friends. She was a member of Leigh Street Baptist Church for many years. Friends may call at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment Washington Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad.
