Powell Hastings Obituary
He was the beloved son of Neta C. Hastings; and brother of devoted sister, Kathlyn L Hastings.
P.T. was a graduate of Douglas Southhall Freeman and the owner of P.T. Hastings Famous Seafood in Richmond where he was a dedicated and proud business owner. He will be missed by his many devoted customers.
P.T. loved sports, especially golf, snowboarding and waterskiing.
He was loved and adored by all who knew him and brought laughter, joy and great times when you were in his company. His passion to bring joy to others was his greatest gift and he will be remembered for the many birthdays that he made so happy for others.
He was preceded in death by his father, P.T. Hastings Jr.; and is survived by his aunt and uncle, Jean and Ed Anderson; and uncle, Russell A. Collins; as well as many loving and supportive cousins and friends.
We will receive friends, 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Woody's Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, Va. 23229 and a funeral service held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 11 at Woody's, with burial following immediately after at Westhampton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice, We'd like to thank the many friends and family from far and near who have reached out with your love, prayers, encouragement and support.

I met Powell when I worked for my pop Vinny at the Italian Kitchen West in 1977, The seafood store was next door and he was always nice and we became good friends. We always bought our seafood from P.T. Hastings seafood. I was really upset when P.T. Hastings jr. passed, and now my wife and I are even more sad to hear that my friend Powell III has passed, He was a good person ,God Speed my friend.

To Kathlyn and P.T.'s Mom, and extended family.... I'm so very sorry for your loss of P.T. He was a funny, kind and generous person, and was loved by so many, who had the pleasure of knowing him. He had a very unique sense of humor, and always made people laugh. I can only imagine the heartbreak you must feel at this time, but I hope you take comfort in knowing that P.T. is with his Daddy in Heaven, and they are BOTH with you everywhere you go.
