Ralph Corr Obituary

CORR Mr. Ralph Edward Corr, 86, a resident of 6226 Dello St., Raleigh, N.C., died Saturday morning at Hillcrest Convalescent Center. Mr. Corr was born in Richmond, Va., son of the late Ivy Tyler Corr and the late Robert Edward Corr. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Prior to retirement, Mr. Corr was employed with Liggett and Myers Tobacco Co. for 42 years., working both in Richmond and Durham. He was a member of Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church and the Sylvan Seniors. Mr. Corr was also a member and past president of the Friendly City Civitan Club and was a Mason. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church by Rev. William W. Snotherly, III and Rev. Bess Hunnings. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clements Funeral Home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers are acceptable or those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Building Fund of Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church, 5731 N. Roxboro Rd., Durham, N.C. 27712. Surviving is his wife, Louvenia Huddleston Corr; two sons, Mark Corr and wife, Lou Ann of Durham and Donald Corr and wife, Debbie of Fuquay Varina; and two grandchildren, Sarah and Shelly Corr.
