Ralph McGinnis Obituary

Ralph Reed McGinnis Jr., 69, of Glen Allen, went to be with the Lord May 1, 2004. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Sr. and his mother, Virginia and Al Pennesi. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 19 years, Gloria Gordon McGinnis; his children, Kimberly "Kimmie" Shumaker and her husband, Craig, Angela "Angie" Reed and her husband, Doug, Ralph Reed McGinnis III, U.S. Army, and his wife, Corrine, Wayne Ray Claytor and his wife, Anne, Laura Koonce and her husband, Brian; his sister, Beverly M. Lowe; brother, James N. McGinnis; grandchildren, Ben, Lanai, Nyla, Tyler, Garrett, Connor, Madelyn, Lauren, Caleb, and Colby; and a host of other loving family members. He was retired from Philip Morris and was a member of the American Bowling Congress Hall of Fame. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Homes' Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday, and where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hunton Baptist Church Building Fund, 11660 Greenwood Rd., Glen Allen, Va. 23059.
