To Ralph, Jr, Dorice, Ashton, and the entire Reavis Family,
We were saddened to learn of the death of our Pastor Emeritus of Riverview Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Ralph Reavis, Sr. It was rewarding for me (Woodrow) to serve as a deacon under his leadership. I (Mary) was Director of Music and served on numerous ministries and committees under his able leadership. As a retired librarian, it was a joy to assist him in his research for his Ph. D. Dr. Reavis was a kind-hearted, brilliant man, who loved people. .He positively touched the lives of numerous individuals during his lifetime. May you find comfort in knowing others care and share in your sorrow. Remember, God has promised never to leave us, "Great is Thy Faithfulness"

Our hearts are heavy but our spirits are lighter. We share with you in this difficult time. Dr. Reavis was a Master Educator and humble servant. The Eastern Region of IAMWMW was blessed to have him as a part of us. His humor was on display at our IAMWMW conventions. Both he and Marion has left a footprint in our lives and for years to come. As my teacher at STVU he exposed us to the essence of Civil Rights. Servant of God well done. Rest from your labor employed. The battles been fought, the victory won. Enter your Master's Joy. Be Blessed!
