Raymond Anderson Obituary

ANDERSON, Raymond C., 77, of Chester, Va. departed this earth on August 9, 2021, in spirit to "Go Home" to be with his parents, Andy and Mildred; brothers, Gene and Steve; and nephew, Butch. Raymond was a strong believer in freedom and liberty, thus accepted his duty to sign on to the U.S. Air National Guard, 1965 to 1971 to serve his country. He spent more that two-thirds of his life with DuPont Fibers as an electrician. Raymond is survived by his nieces, Belinda (Mike), Laura (Keith); nephews, William and Robert (Valerie); great-nieces, Megan and Lia; and sisters-in-law, Joanne (Gene) and Mary (Steve). Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, Va. 23234. Graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Maury Cemetery, 2700 Maury St., Richmond, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Avenue, Annapolis, Md. 21403. Online condolences at morrissett.com.
