Raymond Nesbitt Obituary

NESBITT, Raymond Allen, 81, departed this life on February 14, 2022. "Ray," as he was known, is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Barbara; his brother, Lynn Nesbitt; and sister-in-law, Nancy; his son, Dwight and Deanna Pomeroy; granddaughter, Brayson; the Kuhn and Miller families; and many close friends. Ray was a Deacon at First Baptist Church Richmond, a retired Chemical Engineer from Western Electric (AT&T Microelectronics, Lucent Technologies) and a longtime resident of Richmond's Fan District. A service of remembrance will be held at Richmond's First Baptist Church (Monument and Arthur Ashe Boulevard) in the Chapel, Friday, March 11 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richmond First Baptist Church Ministry of Compassion at FBCRichmond.org or 2709 Monument Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23220, for the betterment of the Richmond community.
