Richard (Ricky) Lawson Brooks

November 16, 1959 - September 4, 2024

Richard (Ricky) Lawson Brooks, of Highland Springs, went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2024. He is survived by his mother, Nan Bottoms Brooks, and two nieces, Becky Thompson and Beth Pullin. He is preceded in death by his father, William (Mutt) Leonard Brooks, Sr., and brother William (Billy) Leonard Brooks, Jr.

Ricky lived his entire life on Kalmia Avenue in Highland Springs. He loved his mother and his family.

He also loved Elvis, cats, camping, fishing, coloring, and watching TV, especially Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and Andy Griffith. He was also a huge NASCAR fan. His all-time favorite driver was Richard Petty.

A small graveside service will be held at Washington Memorial Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27.
