Richard Jones Obituary

Richard Irvin Jones III of Richmond, departed this life June 10, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Teriyika D. Jones; son, Tyriq Harvin-Jones; mother, Alice Fowler Jones; father, Richard I. Jones Jr.; twin brother, David Fowler Jones Sr.; sister, Shawna D. Jones; maternal grandfather, Deacon Charles D. Fowler Sr.; paternal grandparents, Richard and Bessie Jones Sr.; mother and father-in-law, Wesley and LaVerne Greene; sister-in-law, Tamara Jones; three aunts, two uncles, one great-aunt, one niece, one nephew; a host of other relative and friends, among them devoted, Gregory Ebron. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 15, at 1 p.m. from Moore Street Baptist Church, 1408 W. Leigh St. Dr. Alonza L. Lawrence officiating, assisted by Dr. G.G. Campbell Sr. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Remains will rest in church one hour prior to service.

Wow! I am so extreamly sad to hear of the passing of not just a friend but my cousin. Alice, Shawnda, David I am so sorry for your lost, however God is greater than we can ever be to him. I am very sorry to hear of Richard's death. It is not just loss to your family, it is truly a loss for us all. May you find comfort in the peace of God.

I find comfort in the joyful memories Richard has left me with from our school days in Hill and TEE-JAY. Richard was a true Soldier. He made the Class of '92 EXTRAORDINARY. GOD BLESS YOU and PEACE TO RICHARD.
