Robert Bell Obituary
Loving husband to Sandy; beloved father of Colleen (Jim) Stenglein of Chester, Va., Robert Jr. (Diane) Bell of Glen Allen, Va., Timothy (Renee) Bell of Churchville, N.Y., Michael (Hannah) Bell of Richmond, Va. and Cissy (Jeff) LeBlanc of Scottsville, N.Y.; Sandy's daughter, Whitney (Jerred) Clark; Kit's daughters, Lyne Plessis-Belair and Anik (John) OBourn. Proud Papa to Liam, John and Grace Stenglein, Bo Bell and Jessica (Brandon) Bucker, Abbey (Josh) Miller, Alex, Daniel and Mary Bell, Brian, Peter, Joseph and Adam Bell, Jacob, Caroline and Audrey LeBlanc, John Clark. Brothers, John (Kathy) Bell, Joseph (Mary) Bell, Richard (Marianne) Bell, Lawrence (Eileen) Bell; and sister, Elizabeth Pisa; cousin, Fr. John O'Connor; nieces, nephews and too many friends to name.
Bob was born and raised on Lexington Ave. and attended Holy Rosary school and Aquinas Institute (Class of 1957). He loved golf, Aquinas, Notre Dame, the Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. He loved Zwiegle's hot dogs, fried baloney, Manhattans and cigars.
Bob was successful in business, but more successful in the relationships he cherished. Family, friend, acquaintance and sometimes a stranger, he was there if you needed him. Whether at home in Canton, N.C., at his cottage on Cayuga Lake or the house in Scottsville, Bob was surrounded by the people he loved. He always had a story to tell that would keep everyone laughing.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thu Le for her excellent care.
Friends and family may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Leo M. Bean & Sons Funeral Home, 2771 Chili Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. 14624. Bob's Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 4, 2021, 1 p.m., at St. Pius Tenth Church (3010 Chili Ave., Rochester, N.Y. 14624). Private interment, St. Pius Tenth Cemetery immediately following the service. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made in Bob's memory to Aquinas Institute, 1127 Dewey Ave., Rochester, N.Y. 14613 or aquinasinstitute.com/give.

I remember that Bob was a great guy to all with a warm and friendly attitude to all. oh yes he loved golf and we often saw him on the course and occassionally played together at Brook Lea.. i liked Bob...

I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond thoughts of the times I met your father. Although I did not know him well, he always made me feel at ease and was such a friendly man. A successful businessman but a more successful person. RIP.

My husband David Merrill worked for the Bells long before we married. They are all the most wonderful family!. Bob had continued to stay in touch with David when he was ill, and continued to think of my family every year at Christmas. I cannot say enough about what wonderfull people the Bells are and I will miss Bob, a very sincere, thoughtful man who I will always appreciate. Rest in peace Bob. Love, Lois Merrill and family
