Robert Dandridge Obituary

DANDRIDGE Deacon Robert B. Dandridge, 99, of 8019 Walnut Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va., silently entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond, Va. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hester Dandridge; and granddaughter, Hester Harris. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted daughter, Dorothy M. Gaines; goddaughter, Charlotte Sherman; one grandson, Robert Gaines; two granddaughters, Patricia Myrick and Helen Gaines; four great-grandsons, one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Louise Bray; son-in-law, Paul Gaines; sister-in-law, Mable Ransome; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 25, 2007, 1 p.m. at the First Union Baptist Church, 6231 Pole Green Rd., Mechanicsville, Va., where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral. Rev. Dexter Cannon officiating. Interment at the First Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Mechanicsville, Va.
