Robert Gutridge Obituary
October 9, 1949 - November 28, 2024
Robert (Bob) Everett Gutridge, Jr., age 75, of Midlothian, Virginia passed away November 28, 2024 after a multitude of health issues. Bob was born on October 9, 1949 to Robert Sr. and Mabel Gutridge and spent his childhood being raised in Montross, Virginia. He is survived by his devoted wife, Becky and their two sons, Robert(Gaby) and Jason(Erin) and was blessed with four grandchildren, Camden, Morgan, Finley and Patrick. He is also survived by many caring family members, cousins, friends and KA fraternity brothers. He graduated from Washington & Lee High School and was active playing football and baseball. He then went on to UNC at Chapel Hill for one year and transferred to University of Richmond. Upon graduation, he taught elementary education for two years and then began his career with Southern States Cooperative, where he was happily employed for many years. Towards the end of his career he also enjoyed being a sales rep for Dare Products Inc & Bonide Products LLC. In his retirement, Bob spent his time with family and friends, enjoyed playing golf, spending time with family at the "rivah" and going on "Boy's trips" to various sporting events and NASCAR races with his sons; making memories they will never forget. A memorial celebration of his life will be held on April 17th, 2025 at The Boathouse at Sunday Park, 4602 Millridge Pkwy., Midlothian, VA 23112 from noon to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers and donations Bob has asked that those who so desire perform a random act of kindness in his name.
