Robert Holmes Harper

HARPER, Robert Holmes, 70, of Kinsale, Va., passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2007. He graduated from Fork Union Military Academy and was also a graduate of Virginia Tech. Robert was the president of Harper Seafood, Inc. He was also a member of the Westmoreland Lodge 212 A.F. & A. M., Kinsale, Va., and the ACCA Temple. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Shirley Hatch Harper; one daughter, Kimberly Lee Harper of Maryland; one son, Edgar A. Harper and wife, Harriet, of Kinsale, Va.; three stepsons, Joseph W. Moss and wife, Nancy, James A. Moss and wife, Terry, and Donald Scott Moss and wife, Shere; eight grandchildren, Austin Lee Harper, Edgar A. Harper Jr., Alex Moss, Michelle Moss, Leah Lucy, Eric Edwards, Alex Ripley and Sarah Ripley; two great-grandchildren, Layla Bryant and Blake Bryant. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Carmel United Methodist Church, Hague, Va. Burial will be private at a later date.
