FOSTER, Roger Lee, 78, beloved husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law, passed away peacefully in the company of his loved ones at his Midlothian home on May 12, 2021, following a long, brave battle with cancer. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Jacqueline "Jackie"; son, Rick Omohundro and daughter-in-law, Debbie; daughter, Robyn Katsarelis, son-in-law, Tony and grandchildren, Bailey and Tanner; and son, Richard Foster, daughter-in-law, Miriam and grandchildren, Daniel and Jack. He is also survived by two brothers, three sisters and their families: Wesley C. and Mickie Foster; Fay and Donald Robertson; Steve A. and Debbie Foster; Sharon and Clyde McKinley; and Donna and Tim Gray. Roger was predeceased by his parents, Carlton Carl and Lois Marie Cuneo Foster. A graduate of Hermitage High School, Roger served in the Virginia National Guard. He attended VCU and graduated with the 110th class of the FBI National Academy in 1977. After 32 years of service, he retired in 1998 from the Henrico County Division of Police with the rank of lieutenant colonel. He went on to work 12 years as chief operating officer and executive vice president at VAMAC Inc. A 1983 graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond, he served on the boards of several community organizations. He was a past president of the FBI National Academy Associates Virginia Chapter, Henrico Federal Credit Union and Western Henrico Rotary Club. He also served as executive director for the Virginia Police Chiefs Foundation. In his youth, Roger was a deacon and youth teacher at North Run Baptist Church. At the time of his death, he was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. His family is forever grateful for the dedicated and loving care and compassion he received from the Bon Secours Hospice team, including Dr. Marc W. Flickinger, Michelle Dalton, Kay Hall and the Rev.
