Ronald Prosise Obituary
March 31, 1943 - February 6, 2025
Ronald "Ron" Wayne Prosise, of Sandston, Virginia, died peacefully at home on February 6, 2025. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Earl Prosise and Maxine Hightower Prosise. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Pauline Ring Prosise, and his sisters, Jane Prosise Jones (Welton "Buzz") and Patricia Prosise Smith.
Ron was born on March 31,1943, in Richmond, Virginia. He lived in Ashland, Virginia, until his graduation from Patrick Henry High School in 1962. After graduation, Ron served in the United States Navy (1963-67) and then worked at DuPont as a technician for twenty-nine years before retiring in 1993. Not one to sit idly in retirement, Ron started his own small engine repair service and soon returned to work as a site inspector for Old Dominion Security Company, Inc.
Ron was happiest at his mini-farm in Sandston with Pauline and their animals. Over the years Ron tended to beehives, milk goats, ducks, rabbits, chickens, horses, mules, donkeys, guineas, sheep, many beloved dogs and cats, and a thriving organic garden. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The family will have a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the animal welfare organization of your choice.

Ronnie ,Jane Earl, and family were our neighbors in Ashland in the 60's.They lived across the street from us on Duncan Street.I can't remember how many were in the family,but I do remember there was another older sister named Patricia. My condolences to Ronnie's family.Sending prayers for comfort and peace.
