Dearest Family of Ryan:
I read Ryan's obituary in July and had saved it because it touched my heart. I found the newspaper again today and wanted to send my thoughts and prayers. Although I do not personally know you, I know the grief of losing someone so young and precious.
My nephew, who was 21, passed away almost three years ago. In many ways, it seems like yesterday.
Time has a way of helping you to cope and accept this inconceivable loss. If you are open to the signs, he will send many to let you know he is still here, just on another plane of existence. They are always with us and around us. Those who have gone before us have a bond of love that even death cannot separate.
Continue to be open to the signs. You may feel his presence in the wind, through songs, in smells and those things which he loved here on earth. My nephew continues to send a song at just the right time when I am thinking of him. When I smell the air in autumn, I can feel him. He loved hunting and the outdoors. I can finally smile and know it's our Daniel.
You also will be able to smile again one day when you hear one of his favorite songs, or feel his presence in the wind. Peace to you and your family.

You have been in my prayers and I will remember Ryan for his smile and how nice he was when he came over to visit Heather, he was a good friend to my daugther and I thank him for that. It has been a long time for me since i saw Ryan. I remember going to Sandston pool and hanging out with all my friends there. That is where i met Ryan and always thought that he was such a great guy and fun to be around. When I heard the horrible news this past weekend i was in shock and devastated. Losing someone you love is never easy to accept and sometimes it will feel as if the pain is too much to bear. I went to school with Ryan and we rode the bus together since like elementary school. I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear about his passing. He was such a great guy with an absolutely gorgeous smile! My deepest sympathy goes out to you. God must have a special plan for Ryan and need him up in heaven. Where to begin....Ryan was a child hood friend of mine his Grand Father lives 2 doors down from me. We used to do so many wonderful things together.
Andy, Judy, Tyler, Mr. & Mrs. Cheatham, family and friends..... I feel your pain but Ryan is as safe as he could ever be in the wonderful loving hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. You will be in my thoughts and prayers forever and I love all of you.
Ryan, I will savor the last time I saw you at Joey's house! I love you with all of my heart. You are home at last and may your body rest in peace. I was so scared seeing you today but when I approached you all my fear went away it was like you were hold my hand saying, "I am fine and everything is okay!" I will never forget you and will be glad to see you in the nexed life. I love you Ryan and may you rest in peace.

All through i didnt know Ryan all that well i remember riding the school bus with him..he always had a smile on his face! you will never be forgotten! we love you and miss you soo much ryan we know you are looking down at us
