August 15, 2024

A spark of joy will forever be in our hearts because Sam was in our lives for so long. I write on behalf of my Mother, Barbara Burks and myself Deb. Sam and Barb were friendly basketball rivals in their high school days and became roommates for several years in their later lives. They were world travelers together. No outpost was too far or too daring. They were as happy on a camel in Egypt as they were in a cafe in Prague. Two country girls that traveled the world. Two tall beautiful women with a heart for adventure! I will never forget you Sam. Your open and loving arms, sharp whit and keen mind will be missed. One of a kind. Forever loved.
