Samuel Johnson Obituary

Samuel A. Johnson, Jr., 64, of Richmond, died July 10, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel A. Sr. and Ernestine D. Johnson. Surviving are his daughter, N'dea Johnson (Romar Taylor); two sisters, Ann Yvonne Johnson Brown (Horace) and Ernestine Johnson Jordan (Eugene); cousin/sister, Benita A. Price; devoted friend, Marjorie Muse; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Thursday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 19 at Providence Park Baptist Church, 468 E. Ladies Mile Road. Dr. Jerome Ross, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

I worked with Sam at First Health Services for many years. He was also a joyful, friendly and "cool guy" to be around. He was a great friend to many, a devoted son to his mother and a devoted father. We will miss his wonderful attitude and joyful smile. Take your rest in the arms of Christ my brother.
