When I received the news, I was quite shocked. I enjoyed driving the team of horses (Ben and Big Sun) that accompanied the Strawberry Roam horses. It was enjoyable to be part of some happy times.

My deepest sympathy to your family.

Shawn,

You are my Hero:Nothing could ever get you down-Your laughter at anything life could throw at you, your laughter at me, at yourself, at life itself!!! How I will miss that-from the first days at SuperHorse Stables when my Clara was only five years old and you were patient with her, taught her, gave her jobs "of imporatnce" and helped make her the well-rounded person she is. Thank you for being my friend and sharing yourself with me and my daughter-for taking care of us as well as our horses and for always having time for a friend, an animal, a stranger, and for loving me. I know you are with the Lord-I guess he has horses that need your expert care now. I will never forget you.

Shawn never knew a stranger. The first day I met her she came riding across the pasture and said Hi Girl....I said "hi girl" back to her! She said my name is Shawn. What great day to be riding. I knew I was going to really like this girl. She became a dear friend and riding buddy. She always had the brightest glow about life. So energetic and happy. I'll miss you girl!

I was surprised by Shawn's untimely and unexpected death. She was an attractive and outgoing person. In my most recent conversation with Shawn in the Steward School carpool line, she immediately inquired about my son's health as he had recently been hospitalized. I felt that she was a caring and concerned person about other people. I am very sorry for her husband and my son's classmate, Jay.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Shawn's passing. I remember her from the days of Superhorse Stables. She was a superb rider whose abilities I always envied.

May God comfort you now. You know you'll see her again.

Oh My Dear Friend how I will miss you...I still can't believe you are gone. My heart is breaking, but you shared with me your belief in God so I know now you are in a better place.

I don't know how I will face this year without you beside me in the show pen, but this year I will ride for you.

I know I am blessed to have known you and to have called you my friend. I will think of you always and the great times we had. Your smile and zest for life will always be with me. Thank you for sharing yourself with me.

I Love You My Friend.

Dear OJ and Jay

I will miss our Shawn more than life. What an unexpected terrible day. I will never stop loving her and will miss her happy, upbeat, spirit. She gave all of us so much. Please love and care for her babies as they were her life - you know. You two had the best, albeit short lived, gift God could ever give you and you can be joyous for that.
