Shirley Joan Luzinski Roth, 86, of Midlothian, Va., passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Born on October 15, 1938, in Albany, N.Y., she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Alan L. Roth of Albany, NY; beloved mother, Vera (Jones) Luzinski of Albany, NY; and brother, Charles M. Luzinski of Rensselaer, NY.
Shirley is survived by two devoted sons, Todd L. Roth (Renee) of Henrico, Va., Jeff M. Roth of Midlothian, Va.; two grandchildren, Lauren R. Bradley (Kaylin) and Christopher W. Roth (Ali); great-grandson, Axel of Richmond, Va.; sister, Mary Ann Coleman of Voorheesville, N.Y.; and two nieces, Terri Tarullo and Kimberly Kopshac (Dave) of Albany, N.Y.; and life long best friend, Carol Paradise of Albany, N.Y.
A private graveside service was held at Westhampton Memorial Park on September 12, 2025. Jeff and Todd would also like to express their deep gratitude to Spring Arbor of Salisbury and Suncrest Hospice for their loving care and compassion shown to their mother. Jeff would especially like to thank Michelle Carter, who was by his side through mom's final nights, offering comfort and support every step of the way. She is truly an angel.

I last spoke with Shirley many years ago during a visit to our home on Victor Street in Albany. Shirley always had a happy smile and joyful spirit, and, enjoyed a special bond with my mother, Ann Luzinski Sanders, whom she called "Auntie Ann." She had a genuine love for her siblings, mother and grandmother, and a total love and devotion to her husband and sons. Now, rest in peace, Shirley. My deepest sympathy to the whole family.
