Steve Previs Obituary

PREVIS, Steve, of Richmond, Virginia, died peacefully and surrounded with love at his home, August 10, 2007. Steve was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His wife, Emily Carter Previs preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Paulette P. Berberich and her husband, Thomas; his son, Stephen Dale Previs and his wife, Yolanda; his grandchildren; T. Christian Berberich and his wife, Tammy, Andrea B. Wilson an d her husband, T.C., David Berberich and his wife, Cathy, Jonathan Previs and his wife, Kristi, Kenneth Previs and his wife, Pilar, Danielle Berberich and Monica Previs; his great-grandchildren, Taylor and Morrow Berberich, Thomas, Emily, Colin and Julia Ann Wilson, Colton Berberich and Nathaniel and Nora Previs. Steve served his country in World War II, was wounded in Iwo Jima and was a member of V.F.W. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Steve was a Master Plasterer and did much notable renovation work at the State Capitol, Shirley Plantation and Flower Dew One Hundred. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. His remains rest at Vincent Funeral Home and Cremation, 417 11th Street, West Point, Virginia, where a vigil service will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment at St. Theresa Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 207 W. Euclid Blvd., West Point , Va. 23181 or St. John's Catholic Church, 811 W. Nine Mile Rd., Highland Springs, Va. 23075.
