Tara Lynn Gervin

GERVIN, Tara Lynn, passed peacefully on February 25, 2022, with her parents by her side. Tara fought with enormous courage a long and debilitating illness, but always displayed amazing optimism, strength and determination. Tara was a kind, generous and gentle soul who excelled at modern dance, loved roses and enjoyed collecting antique dolls. Her enthusiasm was contagious.

Tara was born on February 18, 1970 in Durham, N.C. and grew up passing through Washington, D.C., Nashville, Tenn., Tuscon, Ariz. and finally Richmond, Va., where she was valedictorian of her class at The Collegiate School. Tara graduated with a degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1995. She was employed for a building services company for 20 years.

Tara is survived by her parents, Alfred and Carol Gervin of Richmond, Va.; brother, Christian (Brigitte) of Ellington, Conn.; niece, Leah; nephews, Alexander, Matthew and Nathan. The family wishes to thank North 6 medical team at VCU Medical Center for their outstanding compassionate care. Honoring her wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
