Terry Lee Walton

WALTON, Terry Lee, 72, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Lee Walton Jr. and Doris Evans Colan; his wife, Mary Ellen Irby Walton; stepfather, John W. Colan (Johnny); stepmother, Marie T. Walton; and stepsister, Susan W. Bendall. He is survived by his beloved son, Evan Lee Walton; aunt, Wanda Walton; stepbrother, John G. Colan (Jack); stepsister, Connie Chisholm; and former wife, Sandra S. Walton. Terry graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and attended VPI and VCU. He owned West End Insurance Company for over 40 years and also sold cars for over 25 years. Terry was an avid tennis player and jogger. He was often recognized jogging on Monument Avenue with his iconic "wooden stick." He enjoyed cars of all kinds, especially Porsches. He loved all animals, particularly Jack Russell Terriers. He enjoyed vacationing at his beach house in Virginia Beach. Terry will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. A private graveside service will be held at Westhampton Memorial Park with a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
