Thank you Joyce for personally letting me know of Tommy's homegoing. Our memories of life in King William will forever be etched in our minds. We were a VERY young couple then, and when we lost electricity, Tommy came with a bucket, a Rope for the well and a checkerboard!! He played a game with Brian as the boys looked on. As winter approached Tommy brought us a front loading wood stove for our basement! It worked so well our sons were sweating in their basement bunkbeds!
When spring came, we wanted a garden, and Tommy being a fan of the old ways, brought his horse and plow and dug us a garden with a few Gee Haw's! Once m, even the horse got loose! Tommy only wanted chocolate chip cookies in return!! Joyce made Garber dinner, a mix of cocktail sausages , navy beans and the like and mustard and ketchup. To this day 30 yrs later our kids request the recipe! They were our nearest neighbor for a mile and we are forever grateful to call them friends! We had one if the best years of our lives living so closely to their Christian friendship.
Oh, and the trampoline you had for your grands? We made sure our Grands had one at their homes! They owe that to you two.
Stay well Joyce. I know you will miss him tremendously. But look at that HUGE family that can still enjoy YOU!
