Thomas Shepardson Obituary

SHEPARDSON, Thomas James, Sr., age 87, of Richmond, Va., died peacefully on February 1, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Ancarrow Shepardson; son, Thomas James "Jamie" Shepardson Jr; his parents, Veene and Ione Shepardson; his brothers, Jed and David Shepardson Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Elizabeth "Lesly" Shepardson Love and her husband, Stephen Love; granddaughter, Riley Ancarrow Love; sister-in-law, Mary Sue Ancarrow-Day and her husband, Ronnie Day; and beloved dog, von Peppa; his nephews, Eric and David Shepardson Jr.; and niece, Monty Shepardson. Mr. Shepardson, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, was the owner of Shepardson Mechanical Corporation for over 45 years. He enjoyed his retirement at his river home and spending time with friends old and new. His family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. on February 9 at Woody Funeral Home, Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville. Services will be held on February 10 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Church, Hanover Courthouse, Va. with interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the ALS Association DC/MD/VA or Bon Secours Hospice. Online condolences at woodyfuneralhomeatlee.com.
