I know there are no words that can truly confort at this time. But I want the family to know how much this young lady has touched so many lives. I had the blessing of caring for Torrie at CJW, and from the first time I walked into her room I knew I could never see the world in the same way. She was such a warm and considerate person. She exhibited a grace that you rarely see in someone so young. May God grant you all comfort and peace even though we may not understand all that happens in this world.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

For so many years I wondered how Baby Girl was doing. As sad as I was to find out, my heart has been lifted knowing that you are free and happy, and that you have made it home. You obviously maintained that ability to bring a smile out of everyone you came into contact with. I cried as I read all the great things that people have said about you, but they are tears of joy, knowing how much you were able to impact so many people in such a short amount of time. My prayers and thoughts go out to your family and friends. May they find the comfort in knowing who you are and where you are, and may others be inspired to live so that they can meet you there.

To the Family of Mr Clay and Mrs Justine, and A little Peace of Mind. I am truly deeply Sorry for the loss of Torrie. I have seen her in passing when I come to ALPOM to pick up mikie. I also knew her through my cousin Quint. She was definitely a beautiful and vibrant girl. Now she is with God resting peacefully without being in pain. My family is here for the Family.

I had the pleasure of meeting
Torrie when we fellowshipped at Bishop Mack Vincent's church. She was a very sweet, determined young lady. She was always well spoken and mannerable. She put all she had in whatever she did. This was noted in the work she did on the step team. My daughters had the pleasure of working with her on the Step team group she started at Tabernacle of Praise Temple. I did not know it at the time, but when I was a child, I was a member of the church where her grandfather on her mother's side was an evangelist, (Evangelist Oscar Eddings). This just goes to show that it really is a small world.

Torrie,
I taught you in 7th grade History. A firey spirt and quick wit and sweet young lady. I will never know God's wisdom, nor will I question or complain. You have touched people here on Earth and now you have been chosen to be with God. You will be missed by those that you touched briefly like myself. I know others know you better and have known you longer so I will not complain about my loss. My heart goes out to you family and friends. Your bright eyes and quick smile will be missed. Thank you for the time you gave us. Godspeed.

To Clay, Your weeping may endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning. Jesus will take care of you and your family and know that, if you ask anything in Jesus name, believing he will give it to you. Torrie is just sleeping now waiting for that great day. She was a great daughter and a happy one from all the comments from her friends, she is still smiling down on you.

wassup my b0o torrie,
Lemme me talk some real stuff to you right now. I know that you are gone and you are watching over us, and i know you are glad that you have made it to heaven to be wit your moms. but i want you to know . that you are goin to be greatly missed. Even tho we did not talk on the reqular basis.. you always knew that you and dorian would always have a place in my heart. When i heard that you made it to tha greater place.. all i could think about was back wen you was in 8th grade. and i was in 7th at manchester. and we was on the step team. with our favorite DORIAN!! and we all would talk and laff and get in trouble because we was just crazii and outgoing. To tell you the truth. you and dorian brought me out of my shell and i really thank you guys for that. also i thought back to all of the step competitions we had .. and how we pumped each other up for the competition and how if one was mad. we all was mad. (me and you and dorian). But also i want to tell you that i really looked up to you. because you was strong... because you really didnt want people to feel bad for you . but to be happy for you.. but words can not explain how much you are goin to be missed by me and dorian and some of your other close friends. and it hurts that i cant tell you how i feel face to face. but have to write it on your myspace messaqe board and times dispatch. but i know you know how i feel!! LOVE YA. Forever. You will never be forgotten..--- to my (Biq Countrii) from Binqo.....

I knew then that you were an individual with lots of strength and spirit. Although I only knew you for a short time, you truly touched my life. I know that GOD has a master plan for you, so go on and earn your wings.
To Torrie's family: GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU ALL! My prayers are with you.

To Torrie,
Words cant describe the way i felt when i heard the news of your passing. We first met at Tinas house one day waaaaaaayyyyyy back and then i was so happy to see a familiar face when i transfered schools. Not a day went by without you running up to me and giving me a hug and making me laugh. I'm so sad to see you go, but happy that God has taken all your pain and that you dont have to suffer anymore, and I know your in a better place. I love you dearly and cant wait to see you when i get there.
To the Family,
I cant imagine what you must feel at this time, but know that you all are in my prayers. Look to God for peace and understanding, he is always there. I love you.

To the Johnson Family:
I was shocked when I received an email from one of our friends in Richmond yesterday informing me of your loss, and I am so sorry that I am unable to be there for you during this time. But, it is with my deepest sympathy that I send my condolences to you for your loss.
I only remember Torrie as a small child. She was happy and she looked and dressed just like you, Justine, which included a dress with white stockings. That memory will last a lifetime. May your memories bring you comfort as well.
We do, however have comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Praise God for that!
Again, I send my condolences from Northern Virginia, and I pray that God will continually bless and strengthen you all.
Your friend,
Mia

I just want to say that my condolences and prayers go out to Torrie's family. Torrie was always like the life of a good time and she always spoke her mind and she definitely kept it real. When I heard that she had passed I didn't believe at first and then I read the obituary in the paper and then it hit me. Although Torrie is no longer with us physically, she is with us in spirit and in our hearts and I know that she is up in Heaven looking down at all of us. I love you like a sister I never had and you know I'm gon' miss you. Your life and legacy will always be remembered.

To The Family of Torrie Johnson:
You have my deepest sympathy. GOD looked down from heaven and saw that she was tired. He gently called her name and she went. She didn't have time to say her good bye's. She is now an Angel up there in heaven. In heaven there is no pain or suffering, only lifting up the name of the Lord. Death will surely come to each one of us,we know not the hour, time or day. Keep lifting up the name of the Lord and don't question him for he have his reasons.

You meant so much to all of us
You were special and that's no lie
You brightened up the darkest day
And the cloudiest sky
Your smile alone warmed hearts
Your laugh was like music to hear
I would give absolutely anything
To have you well and standing near
Not a second passes
When you're not on our minds
Your love we will never forget
The hurt will ease in time
Many tears I have seen and cried
They have all poured out like rain
I know that you are happy now
And no longer in any pain.
Love Always,

Torrie "Hollywood" and Family:
What a huge loss for us all!! I will never forget her Prom night as long as I live. What a beautiful day that was. I have learned so much from watching Torrie come into our office. She NEVER faced this illness with anything less than a huge smile on her face. Never once did she complain or want to give up. What a brave and courageous young lady!! I loved calling her "Hollywood" and seeing that big smile light up the room. She will be someone that I will never forget in my life's travels. To her Family: Your constant support showed me and others what "Family" means. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Torrie was our shining star and she will continue to shine on. I love you all.

I am one of the nurses who helped care for Torrie. Such a remarkable young lady. Even in such hard times, she always had a warm smile for everyone. It's hard to imagine why someone so young, so vibrant and so full of life could be called home so early. I'd like to think that among Torrie's purposes on this earth was to show us true faith, courage and grace. Job well done, Torrie. I also believe there is a new bright star above us all at night - and a new angel in heaven today.

Torrie,
You are a true friend and inspiration to me and so many others. Your smile was enough to brighten everyone's day. You are a fighter and no matter what obstacles were thrown in your path you pushed through them. I will cherish our friendship and the memories we have shared; you will never be forgotten. I love you and I will keep your family in my prayers. I know you are in a better place and I can only strive to be up there with you. Again, I say I love you and I'm so glad that you are now out of pain. I know you are looking down on all of us reassuring us to "keep our heads up."

To the family:
Torrie left you an everlasting gift. The memory that you now have is not one of self pity or sadness. She remained hopeful and high spirited throughout her illness. How many of us have that kind of spirit with the minor illnesses that we have? This baby has truly been an inspiration to me. I know that you will miss her greatly. It is said that time heals all wounds. But until then, I will pray for your strength to endure this great loss. Torrie is now in heaven, which is where we left here have got to strive to enter.

The last time i saw Mama Torrie was 2 years ago before i left Va. She was trying to cheer me up because i didn't want to leave. She was honestly one of the most genuinely kind hearted people I've ever come across. Since 6th grade she was like an older sister to me and i called her Mama Torrie. It broke my heart to know that she had passed away and i couldn't even be there to send my condolences to her family. But now i know that she is in a better place free of pain. So i still send my condolences and prayers to the Johnson family. Rest in peace Mama Torrie

She always inspired me to be strong and never give up. Torrie you have a special place in my heart where you will remain. It's just crazy how this could happen to someone with such a high sprit. When you would walk into first period the room would just light up and you would spend all the class time trying to make others smile. We all love you and miss you!

With heavy hearts, we offer our prayers and deepest sympathy. The Johnson family has watched over our children as if they were part of the family. That is why we feel we have lost a part of our family. I know Torrie is very happy and at peace, looking down on us. I honestly feel ALPOM is lucky to have an angel smiling down on us.

Torrie was a good person, she was a person who was never negative about a situation and i never saw her sad (at least around school when i talked to her) and now i know why. She was living her life to the fullest because you never know when things like this can happen to you. Torrie will always be remembered not only as a friend, but as a role model to all. We love you Torrie Johnson, RIP
