Paula, William and I extend our deepest sympathy to your family. I enjoyed our times together on Noble Avenue and Ginter Park and all of our occasions together on Christmas night. It is rare that families get together over 40 years after meeting. I have cherished all of our moments together, and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Dear Mrs. Howard and family,

You don't know me, but I was one of Mr. Howards many students that he taught Earth Science to at Brookland Middle School in 1982-83. I wanted to express my deepest condolences in your loss. Mr. Howard was a fantastic man who made an impression on me as an educator who truly cared about the well being of his students. As mentioned in a previous entry, he definitely knew how to make one laugh! It figures that he was a member of that greatest generation that fought to keep our country free through it's darkest hour. As is so typical of that generation, he never once mentioned it attesting to the humility and character so typical of WWII veterans. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this most difficult time.

Sincerely,

Patrick Beagle

For my Aunt Mary Jane, my cousins and their families PJ and I send you our deepest sympathies for your loss. Uncle Vaughn was one of a kind and we will miss him. His sense of humor when I was a kid never failed to get me to laugh. When you had a meal with Uncle Vaughn you never had to worry about serious discussions taking up all of the time. He made me realize life did not have to be taken seriously all of the time.
