Paula, William and I extend our deepest sympathy to your family. I enjoyed our times together on Noble Avenue and Ginter Park and all of our occasions together on Christmas night. You don't know me, but I was one of Mr. Howards many students that he taught Earth Science to at Brookland Middle School in 1982-83. I wanted to express my deepest condolences in your loss. Mr. Howard was a fantastic man who made an impression on me as an educator who truly cared about the well being of his students. For my Aunt Mary Jane, my cousins and their families PJ and I send you our deepest sympathies for your loss. Uncle Vaughn was one of a kind and we will miss him. His sense of humor when I was a kid never failed to get me to laugh. When you had a meal with Uncle Vaughn you never had to worry about serious discussions taking up all of the time. He made me realize life did not have to be taken seriously all of the time.
