Vincent Russell Evans

EVANS, Vincent Russell, 54, of North Chesterfield, Virginia, left this world on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. He was a U.S. Marine veteran with a zest for life and love for his country. As an avid sportsman, Vince loved hunting and deep-sea fishing with his children, brothers, and friends. He was a dedicated family man and a fun-loving son and brother. We will miss his sense of humor, rhythm, and adventure.

Vince had a flair for a wilder side of life, with skydiving as a passion. He was an adrenaline junkie at heart, always looking for the next best thing. He also had a softer side, loving the calm sunrises at the Outer Banks, hunting in the woods with his sons, and watching thunderstorms with his daughter. He found tremendous joy in being a father and coaching his children's lacrosse and football teams. His love for lacrosse began at a young age and continued into his fifties, playing for various lacrosse leagues.

Vince is preceded in death by his father, Lincoln C. Evans, and survived by his mother, Elizabeth A. Evans; children, Vincent R. Evans, II, Alexis Evans Hallock, and Austin T. Evans by their mother, Krista N. Anderson; siblings, Michelle R. Evans, Christina L. Johnson, Lincoln E. Evans, Kevin T. Evans, Regina D. Mileouski, and Michael Dean Evans; In-laws, Eric Branch, Kim Hooker, and Ralph Mileouski; nieces and nephews, Joshua Johnson, Ian Branch, Lauren Branch, Lincoln Evans, Jr., Meredith Evans, Chaney Evans, Brandon Powell, Katelyn Mileouski, and Gabriel Evans. Many great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong, devoted friends also survive him.

Vincent's Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024, 6 to 8 p.m., at Bliley's Funeral Home, 3801 Augusta Avenue, Richmond, Virginia. Vincent's ashes will be spread on his land in Cumberland, Virginia, where he found the most peace while hunting with his children, brothers, and friends. Vince will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
