Viola Brown

Viola M. Brown departed this life October 8, 2025. Viola is survived by her husband, Gerald Brown; and also leaves to cherish her memory five children, Patricia Smith, Dianna Newton, Christoper Newton (Mary), Dr. Pamela Wooldridge (Clanton), and Clifton Newton; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viola was great cherished on Earth, and will be greatly missed in her absence from Earth.

Professional services entrusted to Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where viewing will take place Friday, October 17, 2025, from 1 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at The Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 3200 E. Broad St., on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1 p.m.
