Virginia Shafer Obituary

SHAFER Virginia Eichelberger Cowart Shafer, 93, of Lottsburg, Va., formerly of Richmond, died September 17, 2006. Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Alexander H. Shafer Jr.; daughters, and sons-in-law, Page and George Frischkorn of Lottsburg, Dorothy and Kennon Davis of Brazelton, Ga.; daughter, Mary Ball Brauburger of Richmond; grandchildren, Kennon Davis II, Reno, Nev., Deborah MacDonald and Page Davis, Atlanta Ga., Hunter Frishkorn and wife, Norma, of Locust Grove, Kimberly Thomas, Virginia and George Brauburger, Richmond; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Doris Cowart and Pauline Cowart, Lottsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p.m. Wednesday at Melrose United Methodist Church, Lottsburg with interment in Cowart family cemetery, Lottsburg. Memorials may be made to the National Ataxia Foundation, 2600 Fernbrook Ln., Suite 119, Minneapolis, Minn. 55447.

To the family of Virginia Shafer, we are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. We loved Virginia and knew her to be one of the sweetest, kindest ladies we have ever known.
