William Lawson

1960 - 2026

William Ed "Eddie" Lawson, born August 31, 1960, passed away on March 19, 2026. Eddie was a vibrant soul, an artist at heart, an adventurer by nature, and someone who could fill any room with laughter. His creative spirit and deep love of life touched all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Gene Lawson, and Leo and Barbara Matthews. Eddie is survived by his five siblings: Jimmy Lawson (Janice), Barbara Ann Smith (Keith), Leo Matthews Jr., Cindy Holtsclaw (Charles), and Cathy Ransom (Morgan). He also leaves behind nine nieces, four nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Known for his artistic talents and spontaneous sense of adventure, Eddie found joy in exploring the world around him and sharing that joy with others. He had a unique way of seeing beauty in everyday moments, and his warmth and laughter will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Though his time here was far too short, Eddie's memory will live on in the stories told, the art he created, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
