William Beverly Lipscomb

December 29, 1937 - September 23, 2025

William Beverly Lipscomb, 88, of Aylett, VA passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, William G. and Malcenia Elizabeth Lipscomb; and his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary Shermer Lipscomb.

He is survived by three loving children, Julia Newcomb, Janice Brach, and Jason Lipscomb; six grandchildren, Junior Newcomb (Callie), Rebecca Acquaviva (Joseph), Scott Brach, Beverly Anne Hadden (Jacob), Sarah Lipscomb, and Catherine Lipscomb; and six great-grandchildren Jacqueline, Joseph, and Sebastian Acquaviva, Rory and Twyla Hadden, and R. Jaylee Newcomb.

Bill worked for 30 years for Verizon, raised his family in Mechanicsville, and retired to Aylett, Va. He restored antique cars, rode motorcycles, flew planes, fished, and lived a long an enviable life with the love of his life. He considered himself a "jack of many trades, but master of only a few."
