I am truly heartbroken to learn of Bill's passing. We were friends from the first grade and all through our years at Hermitage High. When he was in Elementary school, I used to help with various talent shows and Bill would be practicing on the piano. Several of his friends would stop what we were doing and just stand at the piano and listen with appreciation of his talent even then. He always had a smile and something nice to say to everyone. We loved watching him play baseball at school - he was such a good player. I know he will be so missed. I last saw him at our 50th Hermitage reunion but I have thought about him so often with a smile. My prayers to Linda and his family for God to give you strength. Go rest in the arms of the Lord Bill and may light perpetual shine on you for all eternity.

Bill was a great person who will be missed by many whose lives he touched.
Such a good friend at HHS and UR.
Still remember sharing dinner with Bill and Linda at Peninsula Grill in Charleston a few years ago.
So sorry to hear of his passing.
Best to Linda and his family members.

I'm very saddened to learn of Bill's passing. We grew up and went to school together, played Babe Ruth league baseball and then graduated from the University of Richmond together also. My sincerest sympathies and condolences to Linda and the rest of his family and friends. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this sorrowful time.

Sending thoughts and prayers to Linda and family. Bill was always so genuine and such a gentleman. The twinkle in his eye gave a hint of some mischief, but he used that smile to show his concern for others.

Doc as we called him in our home town, where he took care of me, my brother and his family and my parents. He was a wonderful doctor. I know God needed him.
I pray for peace and comfort for the family during the grieving process and the pain your going through.

Prayers for comfort to family and friends. Doc was a Washington Redskins fan so I always wore my Dallas Cowboys tie when I had an appointment. We enjoyed the friendly banter until Doc would walk in with a rubber glove up to his shoulder. Rest is peace Dr. Nuckols, you were one of the good guys.

Doc as most of us called him was a wonderful man, a caring man, he delivered my first son Bill, my family was a patient of his on West Valley Street till he retired and moved away. May he rest in peace, I know he is in heaven where he will never need to use his skills again. Prayers for the family that God will ease your pain and grief during this troublesome time.

Dr. Nuckols was my physician in Abingdon, VA. He was a wonderful man, soft spoken, and thorough in his treatment, explaining treatments and options. No matter how full his office was, if you were sick, you were told to come in. I admired him very much - Rest In Peace Doc! Prayer said for the family as you celebrate a life well lived.
