William Quann Obituary

William "Pat" Rinehart Quann III

December 5, 1950 - September 9, 2024

Pat Quann, 73, of Midlothian, VA, passed away peacefully on Monday. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather, and a cherished friend to many. A true family man, Pat was best known for his unwavering love for his wife, Terry, of 51 years; his two boys, Ryan and Brandon; and his pride in his five grandchildren, Hart, Sadie, Sloan, Olive, and Sawyer. His warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew him. Pat is graduate of Bridgewater College class of 1973, where he met his wife. After college, Pat began working the family business, Quann Food Services. His endeavors lead he and his wife to open PQ's BBQ Restaurant in Midlothian, which they owned, operated, and worked side-by-side for over 20 years together. Pat's passion for cooking and his friendly demeanor made it a beloved community fixture. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, a hobby that brought him great joy and allowed him to spend time with his two sons and many friends. He also was a very involved Pop to his grandchildren. He loved taking them to the movies, to get ice cream, or even on a quick trip to the gas station for candy and slushies. Pat also made it his top priority to try and attend each and every practice, game, or event that his grandchildren participated in. He is survived by his wife, Terry; his children, Ryan and Brandon (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Hart, Sadie, Sloan, Olive, and Sawyer; his two sisters, Tracy Cade (Kenny) and Wenndy Green (Jay Shake); and a host of friends and extended family.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Hallsley Clubhouse, from 1 to 4 p.m. PQ will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to his family, and his zest for life. He will be dearly missed.

Sadness for your loss brought distant memories to surface, which reminded us of a special poem.
'Our Memories Build A Special Bridge'
When loved ones have to part
To help us feel were with them still
And soothe a grieving heart
They span the years and warm our lives
Preserving ties that bind
Our memories build a special bridge
And bring us peace of mind

Again, thank you for the gathering of cherished memories, smiles and love shared by family and friends...and the beautiful 'little ones' running around opening our eyes to see all he has left as you love and go on...most certainly he was looking down feeling the same, even more so.

We love you guys,
John & Vickie Kleski
