I knew her as "Billie Bell" from our days at Ginter Park Pres where we worked together in Circle and lived close in Hanover. She was always a very gracious and dignified lady with lots of spunk. I have fond memories and am glad to have known her. My sympathy to Vickie and family.

I have so many happy memories of Billie. The great stories she brought to the group, especially her golf stories and the wonderful, helpful reviews she always gave me about my own writing. One of the best memories I have of Billie is when she gave a pitch of a story to the James River Writers' Pitchapalooza and wowed everyone. Particularly the panel who were not expecting such a gracious and elegant older woman to have such a spicy synopsis. Billie could often be a little unexpected but always with such grace and elegance.

Billie was a member of our writing group from 2008 when it started until 2018. Her presence was so special, and her short stories excellent and so well received. Even when it was difficult, she made the Hanover/ Richmond run to the meetings. We miss her presence in our meetings and lives!
