GILMORE, Mrs. Yvette Briggs, age 72, of Glen Allen, departed this life December 15, 2022. She is survived by a loving and devoted sister, Felicia Briggs Billingslea (Dana); four nieces; a host of devoted cousins, among them, Aleta (Adrian) Young, James Watts, Kerry and Andrea Young, Walter Clarke; Rosa Chavis, Beau Chavis; Njeri Nuru-Holm (John) and Reginald Kyles; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where there will be an Omega Service by Eta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. on Tuesday, January 3, at 6:30 p.m. followed by viewing. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, at 1 p.m. Dr. Yvonne Bibbs officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home an hour prior to the service Wednesday.

I was so sorry to learn of Yvette's passing. We spent many years together in elementary school, and it was a joy to reconnect and work with her years later at Brown Middle School. That beautiful smile never changed. My sincere condolences to the family. I pray that God will quickly replace your days of sorrow with years of happy memories of a truly wonderful person.
